Each spring we host an anniversary celebration and fundraiser. Of course we can’t feed anyone right now but we can still celebrate via the Zoom app. We’re calling it a Zoomathon because it is a bit like a telethon. We’ll offer a broadcast (sobercast?) version of our fellowship and speakers meeting and ask you to drop in and enjoy (If any of you can sing “You’ll Never Walk Alone”, we’d love to hear it).
We’ll start at 6:00, you can come hang out, say hello and maybe see some friends that you’ve missed at other meetings. Then at 7:00, we’ll enjoy our featured speaker, Dave H. from Nebraska, for tales of experience, strength and hope from the Cornhusker State.
You’ll be able to donate during the meeting. We’ll have links posted to our Paypal and Venmo addresses, and our Giving Tuesday link:

We hope that you can join us on Saturday, May 16th from 6:00 to 8:00PM. For security purposes, the ZOOM link is in the flyer. If you’d like to download it, just click the button below.
It’s that time again, our annual Memorial Day Picnic here at The Men’s Home. We do it on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30th, from 2:30-5:30PM. It’s burgers, dogs, and whatever else we can think of, along with sides and sweets.
Folks usually bring other dishes that they like (certainly not required), so we enjoy a wide variety of things to eat. It’s an informal day of food and fellowship, bring the families and dogs too!
The map could not be loaded. Please contact the site owner.
The pandemic of 2020 has forced us to revise this year’s tournament. We feel that the idea of staging a safe event isn’t workable right now. However, there will be Men’s Home golf this year.
On Monday, September 14th we will send two foursomes out to play at Bristow Manor, in Bristow, Virginia. As the teams play the course, we’ll check in with coverage of the action on Facebook Live. You can pledge donations based on the strokes under par. Some suggestions for giving would be $10, 50, 100 or 500.
For more information and to help the Home, head over to the Tournament page.
This year the event will be on Saturday, December 5th. We’ll start with an hour of fellowship from 7:00-8:00PM, and then welcome Lynne N. from Nebraska who will speak from 8:00-9:00PM.
The event is a fundraiser for us. Your donations are of course appreciated but also crucial in allowing us to continue our mission. Because of your assistance we can continue to provide men in early recovery with the opportunity to live in a sober environment and prepare for a happy life on their own. Now in our sixty-eighth year, we are grateful for the opportunity to give back what was so freely given us.
We hope to see you for an evening of hope and fellowship to benefit The Men’s Home.

Dawn Avery In Concert
Saturday, February 27th
8:00-9:00 EST
Virtual concert on ZOOM. Tickets available through Eventbrite. Due to security concerns, the Zoom ID and password will be emailed to attendees approximately one day to the event.
Grammy-nominated world musician, Dawn Avery explores the relationship between music and spirituality, having been privileged to work with luminaries Luciana Pavarotti, Sting, Reza Derakshani, John Cage, the Dalai Lama, Ron Young, Baba Catalkaya and Tawen’te:se, among others. Honoring both the community and its space as sacred, she fosters intercultural and spiritual freedom by creating multi-media concert ceremonies and directing a world music program and festival. Dawn shares contemporary soundscapes often referred to as mystic pop that contain spiritual, pop and classical elements reflecting a deep devotion rooted in her Native American heritage and Sufi experience.
She has led meditation and music workshops and concerts at the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies, Esalen Institute, Open Center, Joe’s Pub at the Public Theatre and the Kennedy Center. Dawn looks for opportunities to make a positive difference through art and community. Her personable style engages audiences around the world.
Last year’s Spring Event was held virtually, and this one will be also. Like many places, we’re on the verge of re-opening but not quite there.
